We are looking for support in our investment attraction endeavors, based in our office near Frankfurt Airport. On this team, you will be responsible for the USA/Canada region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Manager, USA/Canada, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Marketing the Frankfurt Rhein-Main metro area to companies from the USA and Canada with the goal of promoting foreign direct investment.
  • Customer acquisition and support in the region, as well as the maintenance and expansion of the network within the US/Canadian communities and relevant multipliers in Frankfurt Rhein-Main.
  • Planning, organizing, and executing delegation trips, site presentations, receptions, trade shows, and further events to attract foreign companies.
  • Liaising between the international office in Chicago and headquarters in Frankfurt.
  • Supporting expanding North American companies with site selections, property searches, and settling procedures in the Frankfurt region.
  • Conducting market and competitor research, preparing reports, and documenting leads and records in the CRM system.
  • Regularly presenting and professionally representing the region in German and English in both internal and external meetings.
  • Providing administrative support to the team, for example in recording and settling expenditures and costs, usually related to trip planning and execution.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Completed degree in economics, marketing, or other relevant qualifications
  • Experience with cold outreach via online tools, phone calls, or at in-person events
  • Verifiable work experience, ideally with foreign investment in the larger field of economic development or the public sector
  • Excellent spoken and written skills in both German and English • Confident in use of IT systems & social media (writing posts and presentations, navigating CRMs)
  • Familiarity with American/Canadian business culture • Understanding of the economic structure and strengths of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main region

  • You are prepared to travel on occasion, are outgoing at events, and enjoy actively expanding networks
  • You are flexible, curious, and enjoy working with a team
  • You are empathetic and have a secure and optimistic mindset
  • You have intercultural awareness
  • You have an analytical and pragmatic outlook
  • You have strong organizational skills and can structure yourself independently
  • You have a Class B driver’s license
