Canadian company SOLOTECH settles in Frankfurt RheinMain

The company is settling in the heart of Frankfurt's creative industry at Hanauer Landstrasse 172, where it shares premises with Studio 301, with which it also has a creative partnership.

"The settlement of a company like SOLOTECH shows: Frankfurt is also an exciting place for creatives internationally. In 2019, our city ranked 9th among creative cities in the "Cultural and Creative Cities Monitor". This clearly puts us in the top league of the group of European cities with populations ranging from 500,000 to one million. In Frankfurt RhineMain, creative people find an ideal climate: Here, there is internationality and openness, urbanity and rurality in equal measure. In addition, there is a lively creative scene with networks that provide innovative impetus and professionals with an international background. In addition, the region's strong economy plays an important role as a potential customer base," says Mike Josef, Mayor of the City of Frankfurt am Main.

SOLOTECH was founded in 1977 in Montreal, Canada. The company started out as a specialist in the field of sound. Over the years, lighting, video installations, multimedia know-how as well as multimedia and visual technologies became part of the offer. SOLOTECH serves, among others, the largest festivals, tours and live events in the UK, Europe and worldwide. Clients include Cirque du Soleil, Céline Dion, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Rammstein, Helene Fischer, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the Isle of Wight Festival, the Reading & Leeds Festival and Hyde Park BST Summer Series in London. The company is also responsible for theater installations, global sales conferences and numerous projects and events for Resorts World Las Vegas, Bridgestone Arena, Burj Khalifa, Caesars Palace and Ubisoft France. Its best-known recent project is the ABBA Voyage show in London, which has received worldwide attention because of its unique animation technology and has had more than 1,000,000 visitors to date.

With more than 45 years in the market, SOLOTECH serves nearly 10,000 clients in over 20 countries, has 18 locations in Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and China, and handles world tours for internationally renowned artists as well as theater installations and global sales conferences. The German office in Frankfurt is part of SOLOTECH's ongoing expansion strategy.

Bryce Jewell, Managing Director UK & Germany of SOLOTECH: "We want to offer our customers a local approach. This is absolutely crucial for us. That's why we're delighted to now have an office in Frankfurt. The demand for high quality, innovative events continues to grow in Europe and our office in Frankfurt's East End gives us the opportunity to manage growth in the region. We have ambitious plans and we are confident that our presence in Frankfurt will enable us to make them a reality."

The North America team of regional location marketing led by Amy Curlee is putting the Canadian company in touch with business networks in coordination with Frankfurt Economic Development.

"The settlement of SOLOTECH is proof that Frankfurt RheinMain also scores as a creative location. Although our strengths in this area are not necessarily top of mind, word has spread among creative professionals that there is an exciting scene here with an international focus. We are a business location with numerous competencies that offers innovative companies a great deal - especially efficient access to customers in Germany and Europe," says Eric Menges, President & CEO of FRM GmbH.
