YES-EU comes to Frankfurt RheinMain

Frankfurt RheinMain YES EU

The international business community in Frankfurt RheinMain is getting a sustainable addition. The Scandinavian company YES-EU (Electrified Universe), a pioneer in the field of electric mobility in public transport, is opening its headquarters and German location in Frankfurt's "SQUAIRE". The company has already set up a workshop in Hattersheim am Main. YES-EU was supported in its relocation by FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH) in close coordination with Frankfurt Economic Development.

"I am very pleased that YES-EU, a Scandinavian pioneer of e-mobility, has settled in our region. The mobility of people and goods is a prerequisite for a strong economy for our region, which is networked with the entire world. At the same time, we want to shape the mobility revolution. Both can only succeed if we make good offers and strengthen our local transport. Companies like YES-EU help keep people and goods mobile in an environmentally friendly way," says Mike Josef, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FRM GmbH and Lord Mayor of the City of Frankfurt am Main.

The YES-EU group of companies originated in Iceland and is a pioneer of e-mobility in public transport in Scandinavia. YES-EU introduced the first e-bus fleets in Iceland, Denmark, Finland and Norway and specializes in the field of new energy projects. The focus is on ecological transport solutions. YES-EU has a broad-based e-bus fleet, including coaches and minibuses. But the company's portfolio also includes charging infrastructure and energy storage systems. In addition, YES-EU employees also repair passenger car batteries. The company plans to expand its offering to include e-trucks, e-transporters, e-bikes, as well as streetcars and trains. In Scandinavia, YES-EU already has a network of e-bus battery maintenance centers. This service is now to be extended to Central Europe.

YES-EU has offices in Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Italy, Kosovo - and now Germany. The company says it employs expert teams for sales and service in Europe, as well as research and development teams for highly skilled engineering and design in Europe and China.

Eric Menges, President & CEO of FRM GmbH: "The settlement of YES-EU shows that Frankfurt RheinMain is a location that is highly interesting for companies with innovative and future-oriented business fields. We have an excellently developed infrastructure and offer the best conditions for companies that want to position themselves in Germany and Europe."

FRM GmbH accompanied the first steps of the settlement of YES-EU. The Northern Europe team of the regional location marketing supported the company in cooperation with the business development department of the city of Frankfurt in establishing contacts with regional business networks and in the local Scandinavian community. YES-EU will expand sales of the e-buses from Frankfurt as a first step and has already had a workshop for repairing car batteries in Hattersheim am Main since the beginning of the year.

"Our region is mobile and thrives on mobility. The establishment of YES-EU shows that Frankfurt RhineMain is the perfect location for international companies that want to develop their business from here," said Michael Cyriax, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FRM GmbH and County Commissioner of the Main-Taunus district.
