The automotive industry in FrankfurtRheinMain is experiencing prominent growth. Chery Automobile, one of the best-known Chinese automobile manufacturers is settling in the region. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of SUVs, compact and mid-size vehicles in China. The group employs approximately 14,000 people worldwide. Chery will open a center for R&D and design in Raunheim at the beginning of 2019. With this location decision, the FrankfurtRheinMain region prevailed against several German competitors in the choice of location.

The entire automotive industry is looking to Frankfurt from September 11 - 15, during this time Automechanika, the leading international trade fair for the automotive industry for equipment, parts, accessories, management & services will take place. We’re very pleased being part of Automechanika and represent the automotive region FrankfurtRheinMain. We are part of the German trade seminar on Thursday 20 September 2018, at EMW in Milton Keynes in order to present the challenges and opportunities businesses may face post Brexit. Globally operating companies greatly appreciate the numerous advantages of the FrankfurtRheinMain region. Short distances, the Frankfurt International Airport, a high quality of life and the advantages that the region offers as a traditional location for medical technology were absolutely convincing reasons for the US company NAMSA to relocate. On March 6, the company opened its only analytical test laboratory outside the USA at the Industrie Center Obernburg. This settlement was supported by FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH) and Zentec GmbH.

FrankfurtRheinMain International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH) continues its successful course with Eric Menges at the head. The supervisory board of the regional location marketing agency extended the contract of the current president and CEO, Eric Menges for another five years.
