American insurer Corvus Insurance opens European branch in Frankfurt -

The American business community in Frankfurt RheinMain is growing: Commercial insurer Corvus Insurance has opened a European branch in Frankfurt. Corvus Insurance develops insurance products and digital applications they say reduce risk for policyholders and increase transparency.

The company offers its insurance products in the United States, the Middle East, Europe, Canada and Australia. Corvus Insurance, founded in 2017, is headquartered in Boston and has offices across the US as well as in the UK.

"We are delighted that another international company has decided to settle in our region. In challenging times, it is important that Frankfurt RheinMain as a business location is perceived positively abroad," says Eric Menges, Managing Director of FRM GmbH. The American business community is traditionally the largest in Frankfurt RheinMain. For American companies, our region is Germany's number one business location. More than 1,800 of them are based here and also shape our image as an international region."

With the new presence in Frankfurt, Corvus Insurance wants to expand its business in continental Europe. The company’s reason for its choice of location is that Frankfurt is in the middle of continent's largest insurance market and has always been an international business center for all industries. According to plans by the two company founders Phil Edmundson and Mike Lloyd, insurance against cyber risks is to be provided in the Frankfurt branch for small and medium-sized companies as well as for larger corporations.

FRM GmbH accompanied Corvus Insurance's first steps in establishing itself in Frankfurt. The Americas team of regional location marketing agency supported the company in conjunction with the Frankfurt Economic Development Agency in the search for real estate, provided information to clarify legal requirements for employers and put them in contact with relevant service providers.

The first employees started work in Frankfurt on 1 July 2022, and by the end of this year their team should grow to six.
