For the first time in 16 months, the delegation took the opportunity to meet with entrepreneurs and representatives of Polish companies and to promote Frankfurt RheinMain as a business location.
Peter Feldmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region and Lord Mayor of the City of Frankfurt: "Frankfurt is the most international city in Germany. More than 30 international schools throughout the region guarantee employees of international companies that their children's education can take place in an international environment. Germany and especially the FrankfurtRhineMain region are an exciting market for Polish companies. In 2020, Poland ranked as Germany's 5th most important trading partner with a trade volume of over 123 billion euros."
Mayor Feldmann informed those present at the event about the region as an ideal location for Polish companies looking to invest in Germany and internationally. Renata Deptała, Director of the Polish Bank Banku Gospodarstwa Krajowego, also based in Frankfurt, spoke about her bank as an international partner for Polish companies. In his welcoming address, Eric Menges, Managing Director of FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region, called on young Polish technology companies in particular to consider Frankfurt as a location for a branch office due to the comprehensive tech expertise of the entire region. Around 60 decision-makers from Polish companies, associations, corporations as well as guests from politics were represented at the reception.
