The company was supported in its establishment by FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH) in close cooperation with the Economic Development Department of the City of Eschborn.
Peter Feldmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region and Lord Mayor of the City of Frankfurt: "We are very pleased that the Indian textile manufacturer RANGER Apparel has established its German subsidiary in our region and there are undoubtedly good reasons for such an important decision. As of this year, the city of Frankfurt will host the world-renowned Fashion Week for the next few years. This means that Frankfurt is on its way to becoming an internationally recognized fashion city."
"We have been in contact with the company since mid-2020 and are, of course, very pleased that RANGER has chosen our region as the location for its German subsidiary. Despite the difficult conditions, our successful work continues unabated. The successful settlement of RANGER shows that our region continues to be highly attractive for international investors, even in times like these," said Eric Menges, Managing Director of FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region.
Ranger is a long-time supplier of the GANT, Scotch&Soda, and Muji brands. The company's portfolio also included BOSS and Lacoste. Now the company is focusing on sustainable products, leveraging its expertise with exclusive, handmade, 100% sustainable cotton fabrics using traditional Indian manufacturing methods. Based on these exclusive fabrics, "To The Moon GmbH" launches with the brand TERRA LUNA a 100% organic and hand-woven men's premium label for the international market. The entire production chain is certified according to the "from Field to Fashion principle" by the globally recognized GOTS test seal.
Adnan Shaikh, Mayor of Eschborn: "It is a great success for the Frankfurt RheinMain region and the city of Eschborn to welcome the German subsidiary of RANGER as a new member of our international business community. Thanks to the close and trusting cooperation of all those involved in the settlement, the Indian textile producer received the support it needed for a successful start in Eschborn from the very beginning."
From location Eschborn, TERRA LUNA is not only to cater the German and European market in the sustainable premium segment, but also to expand globally. Thus, in addition to the Germany, the American as well as the Indian market also would come into consideration in the near future. "Sustainable and socially responsible textile manufacturing will not only be one of the biggest challenges for the global economy in the next 10 years - for specialists who already master this segment today, but offers the biggest growth potential of the entire fashion industry," says Stuti Dhanuka, CEO of RANGER Apparel Private Export Ltd. about their ambitious plans.
The start-up has established its headquarters in the "Häusern der Mode Frankfurt" in Eschborn with initially three employees. The launch of the TERRA LUNA brand is planned for July 2021.
